Themes are built with sections so merchandisers can change layout without a developer. Performance is a design constraint from the start, since image weight, third-party scripts and app bloat are the usual reasons a fast theme becomes a slow store.

Migrations run with a rehearsed cutover, a rollback plan and a reconciliation step comparing source and destination records before the old store is retired.
