Workflow Automation

The processes worth automating are the ones with a queue, a handoff, and a deadline: approvals, onboarding, request intake, reconciliation steps that run to a calendar. We map the process as it is actually performed, including the exceptions people handle quietly, then build the version that enforces the sequence and records it. Routine work stops depending on who remembers to do it.

Data Management

One place where a record is created and one owner for each field, with role-based access, validation at entry, and an audit trail of who changed what. Most internal data problems are not storage problems: the same customer exists under three spellings in three systems because nothing ever decided which system was allowed to create one. Making that decision, and reconciling what predates it, is the work.

Custom Dashboards

Operational views for the people doing the work, not summaries for the people watching it. A dispatcher, a collections clerk, and a plant supervisor need different screens, and each needs the record in front of them to be current and to offer the next action from the same view.

Where This Is Worth Building

Custom is not always the right answer. It usually is when the process is specific enough that packaged software would need heavy configuration to fit it, when the work lives in spreadsheets and mailboxes with no record of who decided what, when the same data gets retyped between systems, or when one person effectively is the process. It usually is not when a product on the market already does the job and the real objection is the license cost.

We scope this work to a first release that runs, put it in front of the people who have to use it, and extend it from what they report back. A specification agreed in a room tends to describe the process people say they follow rather than the one they do.
